If you have drip lines, be sure to check that they are still in the right place and that all plants are getting irrigated. Sometimes, drip lines can move with pests or wind, so be mindful of this.
- Clean/Repaint Your Patio(s) and Deck(s)
Another good item to add to your maintenance plan is cleaning and/or repainting your deck. Decks and patios can accumulate lots of dust and dirt during the summer. Especially in the Okanagan since it’s so dry. To keep your deck in good shape, simply grab the hose and spray it down. And, if you notice that the paint is starting to chip, grab a new can and give it a fresh coat. Not only will this up the appearance, but it will also help preserve the integrity of the structure!
